Gustav Heinemann was one of the first-ever women’s gymnastics coaches. Heinemann and Ranck went on to coach athletes for the 1936 Berlin Games (the first to allow women to compete) and the 1948 London Games, making the two one of the most dynamic coaching duos in the nation’s history.
