Sue Ammerman

Since achieving certification in 1967, Ammerman has served as a judge and technical director for various events and championships in a career that has spanned five decades.

She earned Brevet status in 1984, and she has worked numerous international events, including the American Cup (1990-91, 1994); Junior Pan American Championships (1994); Pacific Alliance Championships (1995); Olympic Trials (1996, 2000); 1998 Goodwill Games; and World Championships (2003).

As a technical delegate, Ammerman contributed to three Olympic Games (1984, 1988, 1992), two Pan American Games (1987, 1995), the 1994 Goodwill Games, and the 2003 World Championships in Anaheim, Calif. She was the technical director for the 1996 Olympic Games.

Ammerman also served in a number of administrative positions within the U.S. Gymnastics Federation. A health and physical education teacher, she received her Bachelor of Science at Douglass College for Women/Rutgers State University and her Master of Science at Montclair University.
