Gymnast of the Week
Josh Karnes – Penn State

  • Recorded first place finishes on the parallel bars (14.850) and high bar (13.700) in No. 6 Penn State’s win over No. 13 Springfield
  • Added a fourth place finish on eh pommel horse (13.600)
  • Garners his fifth Gymnast of the Week award and third of the season

Specialist of the Week
Javier Alfonso – Michigan

  • Scored a 15.05 on the still rings, just 0.05 points off his national-leading score of 15.10, as No. 4 Michigan topped No. 1 Oklahoma
  • Earns his second Event Specialist of the Week honor

Freshman of the Week
Luke Esparo – Penn State

  • Paired a first and two second place finishes, as the Nittany Lions downed Springfield
  • Won his first career vault title with a career-best score of 14.550
  • Scored a career-best 13.750 on the floor and 13.500 on the rings, both good for second place finishes
  • Earns his first Freshman of the Week award

Gymnast of the Week
Sterling Pariza – Simpson
Sterling Pariza had a solid performance on the road against Illinois & William & Mary. With one big mistake on pommel horse he still managed to put up his second highest All-Around score of his career of 75.700.

Specialist of the Week
Sam Lee – William & Mary
Sam Lee won on parallel bars and placed second on vault this weekend to highlight a trio top-3 finishes for William & Mary.

Co-Rookies of the Week
Gavin Zborowski – William & Mary
Zborowski highlighted W&M’s individual performances by placing second in the all-around with a career high 76.95 and career high on pommel horse with a13.05. He helped the Tribe to season high floor score, with career high on floor, pommel horse, and rings.

Peyton Cramer – Springfield
In a dual meet with Penn State over the weekend, Cramer delivered a 14.300 on the pommel horse to win the apparatus by an impressive margin of 0.500 points. He also posted a 12.450 on the rings to take seventh in the event.

Gymnast of the Week
Theodore Gadderud – California
California sophomore Theodore Gadderud (Baerum, Norway) finished third overall on parallel bars and tied his career-high with a score of 14.000 in the quad meet vs. No. 2 Stanford, No. 5 Nebraska, and No. 15 Air Force (Mar. 3). Gadderud also broke 14 on vault with 14.050, and led the Bears on still rings with 13.600. This is the third career MPSF weekly award for Gadderud.

Specialist of the Week
Jack Freeman – Oklahoma
Oklahoma fifth-year Jack Freeman (Palestine, TX) tied his career-high on high bar, scoring a 14.500 to place second, and notched a 13.750 on floor exercise at No. 4 Michigan (Mar. 2). The high bar score eclipsed his previous season-high by two tenths. This is the third career MPSF weekly award for Freeman, including a repeat of last week.

Freshman of the Week
Nico Hamilton – Oklahoma
Oklahoma freshman Nico Hamilton (Grapevine, TX) registered a career-high 14.800 on floor exercise at No. 4 Michigan (Mar. 2). His tally included an incredible 9.5 execution score on the routine with a stick on the dismount. Hamilton is only the second gymnast nationally to score at least 14.800 on the floor this season. He also notched a 13.600 on parallel bars. This is the first career MPSF award for Hamilton.
