Logan Myers – Illinois

  • Posted scores of 13.750 in the still rings and 13.700 in the high bar to lead No. 5 Illinois to a win over then-No. 1 Oklahoma on Saturday
  • Garners his first Gymnast of the Week award

Specialist of the Week
Will Hauke – Illinois

  • Scored his second parallel bars win over the season with a 14.100, as Illinois downed top-ranked Oklahoma
  • Earns his first Event Specialist of the Week award

Freshman of the Week
Brandon Dang – Illinois

  • Tied for third in the pommel horse (13.850) in the Illini’s victory over Oklahoma
  • Earns his second consecutive Freshman of the Week award

Gymnast of the Week
Steve Manolakis – Army
Co-captain and senior Steve Manolakis led Army West Point to a win over Springfield College. Manolakis captured the vault title with a career-high 14.5 and placed second on floor with a 13.35. Manolakis’ score on vault helped the Black Knights to their highest team vault score since 2017.

Specialist of the Week
Isaiah Drake – Navy
Competing on the FX and VT in Saturday’s meet versus William & Mary, Drake went 2-for-2 in the win column as he outscored the field on the floor by .3 points with a final score of 13.75 before out-pacing the field on the vault by 0.1 points on the strength of his 14.3 score.

Rookie of the Week
Jaden Blank – Army
Freshman Jaden Blank had a strong performance this past weekend, competing four events for Army West Point highlighted by a first-place finish and career-high on rings with a score of 12.85. Blank also placed third on floor and fourth on horizontal bar.

Gymnast of the Week
Asher Hong – Stanford
Stanford sophomore Asher Hong (Tomball, TX) claimed the all-around title for a second-straight week with 84.950, highlighted by a career-high and 2024 NCAA-high 15.150 still rings in the final rotation to lead a winning 415.250 team total over No. 9 California (Jan. 27). He added a 14.850 on parallel bars and a pair of 14.100’s on floor and vault. Hong will enter February as the nation’s top-ranked still rings gymnast (14.875 avg.) and No. 2 in the all-around (84.900 avg.). This is the eighth career MPSF weekly award for Hong.

Specialist of the Week
Emre Dodanli – Oklahoma
Oklahoma junior Emre Dodanli (Milton, Ontario, Canada) won all three events in which he competed at No. 5 Illinois (Jan. 28). Dodanli posted a career-high 14.750 on vault, notched a 14.500 on floor, and a 14.100 on the high bar, making it the second meet this season in which he won all of three of his events. Dodanli, who has won seven individual event titles this season, leads the nation in floor average (14.833). This is the third career MPSF weekly award for Dodanli, including two in the first three weeks this year.

Freshman of the Week
David Shamah – Stanford
Stanford freshman David Shamah (McKinney, TX) posted a 14.350 in his first collegiate parallel bars routine, giving him the seventh-highest score in the nation in that event, as the Cardinal totaled 415.250 to defeat No. 9 California (Jan. 27). The 14.350 parallel bars score is also the highest among freshmen in the NCAA. This is the first career MPSF award for Shamah.
