LONDON, Aug. 8, 2012– Julie Zetlin of Bethesda, Md./Capital Rhythmics, begins competition at the 2012 Olympics on Thursday in the rhythmic all-around qualification round at 7 a.m. ET in Wembly Arena. The lone representative for Team USA, Zetlin will begin competition on ball as the 18th competitor in the first rotation. The 2012 U.S. all-around silver medalist will finish her first day of competition on hoop.

Zetlin, who earned a nominative berth to the Olympic Games as the continental representative for the Americas, will continue qualifications on Aug. 10 with ribbon and clubs.

The two-day qualifier is made up of 24 competitors representing 20 countries. Following qualification Aug. 9-10, the top 10 athletes move on to the final Aug. 11.
