COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., March 6, 2011 – 2010 U.S. all-around champions Julie Zetlin of Bethesda, Md., and Rebecca Sereda of Staten Island, N.Y., won their second consecutive senior and junior all-around titles, respectively, at the 2011 Rhythmic Challenge at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Zetlin, who trains at Capital Rhythmics, won the senior all-around crown with a score of 98.408. She finished first in hoop (25.875) and ribbon (25.558), second in clubs (22.900), and third in ball (24.075). Shelby Kisiel of Houston /North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, finished second in the all-around with 94.241, placing first in clubs (23.658) and second in hoop (25.158) and ball (24.458). Alexis Page of New York, N.Y./Aviator Sports and Recreation, took third in the all-around at 89.525, finishing third in hoop (23.275) and ribbon (21.742).

Anastasia Torba of Orinda, Calif./Allegro Rhythmic, who placed second in ribbon (22.392), finished fourth in the all-around with an 89.066. Polina Kozitskiy of Fountainville, Pa./Philadelphia Rhythmic Academy, rounded out the top five in the all-around with an 88.066. Olga Pavlenko of Brooklyn, N.Y./Isadora, only competed in two events but placed first in ball (24.600).

Sereda, who trains at Isadora, earned a 93.716 to win the junior all-around title. She also took top honors in hoop (24.125) and ball (24.900), finished second in clubs (23.250), and placed third in ribbon (21.442). Jazzy Kerber of Highland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, finished second in the all-around with a 91.825, winning clubs at 23.900, and placing second in hoop (23.867) and ball (22.750). Cindy Lu of Staten Island, N.Y./Isadora, won ribbon at 21.967 and took third in the all-around (89.216), hoop (22.883) and ball (22.542).

Serena Lu of Staten Island, N.Y/Isadora, finished fourth in the all-around (88.616), placing second in ribbon (21. 658) and third in clubs (22.417). Aria Rodli of Coronado, Calif./ Emerald City Academy of Rhythmic Gymnastics, took fifth in the all-around at 85.358.

The Rhythmic Invitational and Group Championships, competitions for Levels 7-10, were held in conjunction with the Rhythmic Challenge.
