SCHMIDEN, Germany, March 12, 2013 – Laura Zeng of Libertyville, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, won the junior all-around and three individual event titles this weekend at the Gymnastik International 2013 held in Fellbach-Schmiden, Germany. Senior Jazzy Kerber of Highland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, won two medals, including bronze in the all-around and silver in the hoop competition.

In the all-around competition, Zeng posted a 56.867 total with scores of 14.900, hoop; 13.933, ball; 14.067, clubs, and 13.967, ribbon, and qualified to all four event finals. Nearly sweeping the junior event finals, Zeng posted scores of 15.650, hoop; 14.950, clubs; and 15.100, ribbon to claim three gold medals. She also picked up the bronze medal in the ball competition, posting a 12.200.

Jazzy Kerber took the all-around bronze medal in the senior division with a 61.700, behind scores of 15.666, hoop; 15.434, ball; 15.633, clubs; and 14.967, ribbon. Like Zeng, Kerber also qualified to all four event finals, where she won the hoop silver medal with a 15.783. Kerber finished fourth in both the clubs (15.500) and ribbon (15.450) finals, and seventh in the ball competition (12.867).

Aliya Protto of Culver City, Calif./California Rhythmics, 12th all-around, senior; and Camilla Feeley of Germantown, Md./Elegance Gymnastics, 10th all-around, junior; also represented the United States at the competition.
