INDIANAPOLIS, March 26, 2021 – Laura Zeng of Libertyville, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center sits in sixth place in the all-around with a score of 46.800 after Day 1 of the 2021 Sofia (Bulgaria) World Cup all-around competition. Zeng’s hoop (23.700) and ball (23.100) scores also qualified her to Sunday’s event finals for both apparatus. The all-around competition concludes tomorrow with clubs and ribbon. U.S. athletes will compete in the Group C session at 7:30 a.m. ET. Event finals will air Sunday on Olympic Channel at 5:30 a.m. ET.

Evita Griskenas of Orland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center finished the day 19th in the all-around standings. Griskenas earned a 20.100 in hoop and a 22.800 in ball, finishing ninth in the latter, and is the first reserve for the ball final on Sunday.

Israel’s Linoy Ashram and Bulgaria’s Boryana Kaleyn are tied for the all-around lead after two apparatus with a combined score of 51.350. Ashram notched the high score in hoop with a 25.800, while Kaleyn earned the day’s top score in ball with a 26.250.
