LAKE PLACID, N.Y., March 4, 2016 – Laura Zeng of Libertyville, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, and Lili Mizuno of Brentwood, Calif./Community Youth Center, took the senior and junior titles, respectively, today at the Rhythmic Challenge. The competition was held at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, N.Y.

Zeng took the top spot in the senior competition with a 69.300 score in the all-around and earned scores of 17.700, hoop; 17.400, ball; 17.350, clubs; and 16.850, ribbon. Evita Griskenas of Orland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, was second with a 68.250 total, followed by Serena Lu of Staten Island, N.Y./Isadora, at 67.000.

In the junior competition, Mizuno earned individual scores of 15.050, rope; 15.350, hoop; 13.800, ball; and 15.600, clubs, for a 59.800 in the all-around. Karrine Dennisova of Wilmette, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, was second, earning 58.850 in the all-around. Elizabeth Kapitonova of Staten Island, N.Y./Isadora, rounded out the top three and scored 57.400.
