INDIANAPOLIS, April 18, 2021 – Laura Zeng of Libertyville, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center took seventh in the hoop apparatus final and finished eighth on ball at the 2021 Tashkent (Uzbekistan) World Cup on Sunday. Zeng, who was 12th in the all-around competition, qualified to both apparatus finals through her performances on the first day of the event. She posted a 21.800 on hoop and 21.250 on ball to close out the second World Cup competition of the season. Evita Griskenas of Orland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center was 20th in the all-around, which concluded Saturday.

Russia’s Dina Averina, who claimed the all-around title, notched the top score on hoop with a 27.750. Her sister Arina took first on ball (28.400) and clubs (28.650), while Belarus’ Alina Harnasko led the way on ribbon (22.750) during Sunday’s finals.
