INDIANAPOLIS, April 17, 2021 – Laura Zeng of Libertyville, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center posted an 87.900 in the all-around at the 2021 Tashkent (Uzbekistan) World Cup, to finish 12th. Her 23.400 on hoop and 23.750 on ball on Day 1 of the competition have qualified her to compete in Sunday’s apparatus finals.

Evita Griskenas of Orland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center was 20th with an 83.7500. Griskenas posted scores of 22.200 on hoop, 22.350 on ball, 21.650 on clubs and 17.550 on ribbon. Zeng, who was sixth after Day 1, earned a 21.100 on clubs and 19.650 on ribbon to close out the all-around competition.

Dina Averina of Russia led all competitors with a 104.100. She posted high scores on ball (27.900) and ribbon (22.350), while sister Arina Averina paced the field on hoop (26.900) and clubs (27.650).

Apparatus finals begin Sunday at 3 a.m. ET. Olympic Channel will air part of the competition Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET ET.
