GUADALAJARA, Spain, June 5, 2017 – 2016 Olympian and 2017 World Cup medalist Laura Zeng of Libertyville, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, earned three top 10 finishes this weekend at the Guadalajara World Challenge Cup. Zeng was 10th in the all-around, fifth for ribbon and sixth for ball.

In individual competition, Zeng posted a 63.200 to take 10th place in the all-around competition. The USA’s Lili Mizuno of Brentwood, Calif./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, was 14th in her International Gymnastics Federation World Cup series debut. She totaled 59.850.

Zeng qualified to the ball and ribbon finals. She posted a 15.900 for her ribbon routine to take fifth place, while her 15.650 in the ball final landed her in sixth place.

The U.S. senior group advanced to the five hoops final, earning a 14.600 score and eighth place. The group, which trains at North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, consists of Dasha Baltovick of Highland Park, Ill.; Natalie Bourand of Burr Ridge, Ill.; Ugne Dragunas of Darien, Ill.; Connie Du of Deerfield, Ill.; Yelyzaveta Merenzon of Buffalo Grove, Ill.; Nicole Sladkov of Vernon Hills, Ill.; and Kristina Sobolevskaya of Deerfield, Ill.
