COTTBUS, Germany, March 13, 2014 – 2013 World Championships still rings bronze medalist Brandon Wynn of Voorhees, N.J./Team Hilton HHonors (U.S. Olympic Training Center), qualified today to the rings final at the Cottbus World Cup in Cottbus, Germany. The competition is an International Gymnastics Federation World Challenge Cup event and continues tomorrow with the final day of qualification. Finals are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

Wynn will be back in action Friday on the parallel bars, while teammates Chris Brooks of Houston/Team Hilton HHonors (Cypress), will compete on the parallel bars and horizontal bar, and Josh Dixon of Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Olympic Training Center, is competing on the high bar.

Wynn posted a score of 14.633, which put him in eighth place and earned a spot in Saturday’s finals. Dixon competed on the floor exercise, where he scored a 14.300 to finish 14th.
