JAKARTA, Indonesia (October 23, 2025) – Leanne Wong (Overland Park, Kan./University of Florida) won her second career all-around silver Thursday evening at the 2025 FIG Artistic World Championships, while Dulcy Caylor (Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre) ranked 13th.
Wong was the model of consistency during the final, posting combined 54.966. Her score was bolstered by a huge 14.466 on vault, the highest score of the night, and a top-three showing on balance beam (13.500). She also turned in scores of 13.800 on bars and 13.200 on floor. Caylor finished the night in 13th with a 51.532, including the third-best best score on floor exercise with a 13.433, fourth-best score on vault (13.966), 12.233 on bars and 11.900 on beam.
Independent athlete Angelina Melnikova won gold with a 55.066 and Qingying Zhang of China took bronze with a 54.633. In going 1-2, Melnikova and Wong repeated their place finishes from the 2021 World Championships.
Competition in Jakarta continues Friday, October 24 at 3 a.m. ET with the U.S. men of Patrick Hoopes (Lehi, Utah/U.S. Air Force Academy), Kameron Nelson (Columbus, Ohio/Ohio State University) and Donnell Whittenburg (Baltimore, Md./EVO Gymnastics) taking on pommel horse, floor and still rings, while Skye Blakely (Frisco, Texas/University of Florida) and Joscelyn Roberson (Texarkana, Texas/University of Arkansas) compete on uneven bars and vault.
