2009 world all-around champion Bridget Sloan of Pittsboro, Ind., 2009 world vault champion Kayla Williams of Huntington, W. Va., 2009 world all-around silver-medalist Rebecca Bross of Plano, Texas, and 2009 world balance beam bronze-medalist Ivana Hong of Allen, Texas, were in New England to promote the upcoming Tyson American Cup and Visa Championships.
They began the day at a breakfast with local gymnasts at the DCU Center, the site for the 2010 Tyson American Cup in Worcester, Mass. The foursome gave a brief exhibition at the Connecticut State Championships, along with signing autographs. They wrapped up the day by attending the Hartford Wolfpack hockey game, where they met with fans and started the game with the ceremonial drop of the hockey puck. The hockey game was held at the XL Center, the venue for the 2010 Visa Championships in Hartford, Conn.
