INDIANAPOLIS, March 12, 2012 – Following a U.S. national team training camp in Huntsville, Texas, at the USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center at the Karolyi Ranch, an official U.S. Olympic Training Site, USA Gymnastics is announcing the six-woman team who will compete at the 2012 Kellogg’s Pacific Rim Championships, scheduled for March 16-18 at the Comcast Arena in Everett, Wash. Team USA is lead by 2011 World all-around champion Jordyn Wieber of DeWitt, Mich./Gedderts’ Twistars USA, 2011 World team gold medalist Gabrielle Douglas of Virginia Beach, Va./Chow’s Gymnastics and Dance, and Kyla Ross of Aliso Viejo, Calif./Gym-Max, who will make her senior international competitive debut at the event. The trio is joined by junior national team members Katelyn Ohashi of Plano, Texas/WOGA, Lexie Priessman of Cincinnati, Ohio/Cincinnati Gymnastics, and Amelia Hundley of Hamilton, Ohio/Cincinnati Gymnastics.

The 2012 Pacific Rim Championships will showcase athletes from Australia, Canada, China, Chinese Taipei, Colombia, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama, Philippines, Russia, and the United States. Considered one of gymnastics’ premier international events, competition at the Kellogg’s Pacific Rim Championships includes artistic (men’s and women’s) gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, and trampoline. The competition features both junior and senior athletes.

The country breakdown by discipline is as follows.

  • Artistic gymnastics: Australia, Canada, China, Chinese Taipei, Colombia, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama (women), Philippines, Russia, USA

Single-session tickets range from $15 to $65, and all-session tickets range from $110 to $250 (including facility fees).
