HUNTSVILLE, Texas, May. 19, 2016 – The U.S. Women’s National Team camp concludes today at the USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center at the Karolyi Ranch, an official U.S. Olympic training site, near Huntsville, Texas. The five-day camp began Sunday, May 15, under the direction of national team coordinator Martha Karolyi.

Team USA is preparing for a busy summer including the Secret U.S. Classic (Hartford, Conn. June 4), the P&G Gymnastics Championships (St. Louis, Mo., June 24-25), the Olympic Trials (San Jose, Calif., July 8 -10), and the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

“It was a very successful camp, and everyone looks to be on the right track heading into the Olympic selection process,” said Karolyi. “I am very pleased with the high level of physical fitness and routine preparation demonstrated by our athletes.”

The camp comes after a successful March and April for the women’s program, which recorded victories at the Jesolo Trophy and Pacific Rim Championships. This was the final camp before members of the 2016 U.S. Olympic team gather at The Ranch prior to the Games, July 17-25.
