SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Kailey Hansen and Kalliah McCartney tied for first on beam to help propel Sacramento State to its its highest score in a season opener on Sunday in front of a capacity crowd at The Nest. The Hornets placed third in the meet with a 194.400 finishing behind No. 9 Stanford (194.825) and No. 22 California (194.650) and ahead of UC Davis (193.450) and San Jose State (193.325).

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State gymnastics team opened the 2014 season in Hilton Coliseum on Sunday, falling to No. 15 Penn State by a score of 193.925-193.550.
