2008 Beijing Olympic Games silver medalists Alicia Sacramone of Winchester, Mass. and Jonathan Horton of Houston and 2011 AT&T American Cup champion Jordyn Wieber of DeWitt, Mich., appeared on NBC’s Today Show Wednesday, July 27. The segment marks one year until the 2012 London Olympic Games opening ceremonies. Competition in gymnastics is scheduled to begin on July 28, 2012, with the men’s qualification round at the North Greenwich Arena, site of the 2009 World Gymnastics Championships.

2008 Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin joined Horton and Sacramone, along with Olympic wrestling champion Henry Cejudo, for an autograph signing outside the NBC Experience Store in Rockefeller Center following the Today Show segment.

NBC, American broadcaster of the 2012 London Olympic Games, along with partner Universal Sports will broadcast the action live from the men’s and women’s gymnastics competitions at next month’s 2011 Visa Championships in Saint Paul, Minn., featuring Sacramone, Horton and Wieber.
