U.S. acrobatic and parkour gymnasts will take on Portugal this week for global competitions.
More than 25 U.S. acrobatic athletes will be in Guimaraes, Portugal, for the 13th FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Age Group Competitions September 12-15. American gymnasts will be vying for medals in the 12-18 and 13-19 age groups and a spot in the first FIG Acro Junior World Championships. The championships will run on the final day of competition with athletes qualifying based on their final placements at the Age Group Competitions.
The event begins on September 12, and the full competition schedule is listed below. All information about both events can be found on FIG’s event website.

Headed to the second parkour World Cup of the season are eight U.S. parkour athletes from around the country. Past medalists Audrey Johnson (Greenville, S.C.) and Shea Rudolph (Boston, Mass.) will lead the American delegation competing at the 2024 Coimbra World Cup in Portugal September 13-15.
Joining Johnson and Rudolph will be Dara De Paolo (Woodstock, Ga.), Brittney Durant (Walnut Creek, Calif.), Matthew Hadley (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Jayden Harris (Boulder, Colo.), George Munro (Gilbert, Ariz.) and Aiden Rudolph (Boston, Mass.).
Friday, September 13 will kick off competition with women’s speed qualifications at 8:30 a.m. ET, followed by men’s freestyle at 9:30 a.m. ET. Saturday will see women’s freestyle qualifying at 6:30 a.m. ET and men’s speed qualifying at 8 a.m. ET. Later in the day, the women will take the stage again at 12:25 p.m. ET for speed semifinals, followed by the men’s freestyle final at 12:45 p.m. ET and the women’s speed final at 1:30 p.m. ET.
The men’s speed final starts Sunday’s schedule at 10:15 a.m. ET with the women’s freestyle final directly after at 10:45 a.m. ET. The men’s speed final will conclude the competition at 11:30 a.m. ET. Live results are expected to available on live.rawmotion.com.
