American rhythmic gymnasts compete in Poland as trampoline and tumbling athletes vie for domestic titles this weekend.

RG Portimão International Tournament

Eight rhythmic athletes will compete in junior and senior competition at the 2026 Portimão International Tournament May 8-10 in Portugal.

Representing the seniors will be 2026 Aphrodite Cup clubs bronze medalist Isabel Borges, who won the all-around in Portimão last season; 2026 Friendship Cup clubs silver medalist Isabella Chong; 2025 Rhythmic Invitational clubs and ribbon champion Irina Fesyun; and 2025 U.S. junior ball champion Olivia Ulrich.

On the junior side, 2026 Rhythmic Challenge all-around champion Josephine Weber and ball champion Riko Kawai will compete as a team, while 2026 Friendship Cup ball champion Izabella Oleynik and ribbon silver medalist Daniela Shevchenko also team up.

Qualifying will run for two days, beginning at 5:30 a.m. ET with junior competition on Friday and Saturday, followed by the seniors at 9:40 a.m. ET. Final rounds are set for Sunday, May 10 starting at 9 a.m. ET. Live scoring is expected on sporttech.io.


RG Gdynia Rhythmic Stars

Four more juniors and seniors will be in Eastern Europe for the 2026 Gdynia Rhythmic Stars May 9-10 in Poland.

Headlining the U.S. delegation is 2026 Friendship Cup all-around, hoop and clubs champion Natalie de la Rosa, who will compete in the senior division alongside 2026 Friendship Cup clubs bronze medalist Ruby Freshwater. Joining them as a junior team will be 2026 Rhythmic Invitational junior hoop ribbon champion Nina Keys and ball champion Ziah Khan.

Junior team and senior all-around champions will be crowned Saturday, May 9 with competition starting at 3:15 a.m. ET. All finals begin at 5:05 a.m. ET on Sunday, May 10.

T&T Elite Challenge

Nearly 400 athletes are set to take on the 2026 T&T Elite Challenge May 7-10 at the Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center in Wichita, Kansas. Rosters for the 2026 Coimbra World Cup and Gym Fest will be selected following this competition and will also factor into selections for international events later in the season, including the 2026 Senior and Junior World Championships and World Age Group Championships in November in Nanjing, China, and the Riccione World Cup in October in Italy.

Elite competition will run from Friday-Sunday, with final rounds set for Saturday and Sunday. Complete information on the event, including a full schedule, is available on the competition website.
