Fresh off the USA Gymnastics Championships in Rhode Island, 23 senior athletes will compete at the 2025 Coimbra World Cup July 5-6 in Portugal.
Highlighting the roster are 2025 U.S. champions Maia Amano, Kaden Brown, Leah Garafalo, Ashley Matern, Ruben Padilla, Kennedi Roberts, Isaac Rowley, Simon Smith and Elijah Vogel. Rowley and Vogel will be joined by Paul Bretscher and Ryan Maccagnan in men’s trampoline while Clare Bretscher will compete alongside Amano, Garafalo and Roberts in women’s competition.
Matern will compete in women’s tumbling with Emma Cox, Nasiara Riley and Tia Taylor, and Brown will contest men’s tumbling titles with Xavier Harper, BJ Mensah and Amare Walker. Roberts also will take the mat for women’s double mini with fellow Americans Gracie Harder, Aliah Raga and Susan Gill. Padilla, Trevor Harder, Max Poveda and Simon Smith round out the U.S. delegation in Portugal on men’s double mini.
World Cup competition begins Saturday, July 5 with trampoline and tumbling qualifying starting at 8 a.m. ET and double mini at 9:20 a.m. ET. Sunday will kick off with the second qualifying rounds in individual trampoline and tumbling at 6 a.m. ET followed by all finals at 9 a.m. ET.
Eighteen juniors will be in the spotlight at the Coimbra Gym Fest international tournament July 4-6, with 2025 U.S. junior champions Ingrid Campbell, Grace Danely, Neila Johnson, Luke Todd and Sawyer Whitemiller headlining the American roster.
Individual trampoline will see action from Whitemiller, Joseph Borders, Rafi Pikofsky-Christiansen and Zackrey Whaley on the men’s side, with Danley, Channing Kim, Nora Simmonds and Bella Ursu competing for the women. Campbell and Johnson highlight the women’s tumbling lineup with Amari Jackson and Haleigh Smith, while Whitemiller also competes in men’s tumbling alongside Todd, Carter Garn and Andrew Neatrour.
Johnson, Pikofsky-Christiansen and Todd will each pull double duty on double mini, with Johnson in women’s competition with Sophia Patterson, and Pikofsky-Christiansen and Todd in men’s with Sylus Harper and Dustin Padilla.
Qualifying will span Friday and Saturday, beginning at 5:40 a.m. ET on Friday and 3 a.m. ET on Saturday. All finals are slated for Sunday starting at 3:30 a.m. ET.
