Nola Matthews (Gilroy, Calif./Airborne Gymnastics Training Center) was doubly golden in Bulgaria, winning two apparatus tiles at the 2025 Varna World Challenge Cup. Her first gold came on uneven bars Saturday, scoring a 13.300 in the final ahead of Great Britain’s Ruby Stacey (13.033) and Luxembourg’s Celeste Mordenti (13.000). Sunday saw Matthews win gold (13.300) on floor exercise, just ahead of Austria’s Charlize Moerz (12.933) and Sweden’s Jennifer Williams (12.733) in second and third, respectively.
Matthews was also fifth in the balance beam final with a 12.366. Marianna Kinuik of Ukraine was first with a 12.866.

The U.S. rhythmic delegation claimed six medals at the 2025 Portimão World Challenge Cup in Portugal.
Rin Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) earned half of the country’s medals, winning silver in the all-around (110.550) and on ball (27.300) and clubs (28.450). Megan Chu (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) collected bronze on hoop with a 28.100 and placed sixth in the all-around with a 106.150.
In group competition, the Senior National Group of Goda Balsys (Northbrook, Ill.), Anabella Hantov (Northfield, Ill.), Kristina Lee (Woodridge, Ill.), Anastasia Slipets (Wyckoff, N.J.), Alaini Spata (Glen Ellyn, Ill) and Natalia Ye-Granda (San Diego, Calif.) secured three hoops and two ball silver (22.300) and five ribbons bronze (21.150). The group also ranked fifth in the all-around with a 38.600.
Titles were won in individual, tumbling and double mini trampoline competition at the 2025 Elite Challenge in Jacksonville, Florida.
Of the many winners in each division, National Team members Kaden Brown, Gracie Harder, Kai Lawson, Ruben Padilla, Jessica Stevens, Elijah Vogel, Sarah Webster, Carter Garn, Rafi Pikofsky-Christiansen and Luke Todd all won in their respective events.
