Ruben Padilla (Bluffdale, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) and Ryan Maccagnan (Colorado Springs, Colo./Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy) won bronze in synchronized trampoline, and Padilla added an individual bronze over the weekend at the 2025 Varna World Cup in Bulgaria.
Padilla and Maccagnan won the first medal for the American delegation Sunday, securing men’s synchronized trampoline bronze with a 52.140. The U.S. duo stood on the podium behind Yusei Matsumoto and Hayato Miyano of Japan in first (54.73) and independent athletes Danila Kasimov and Kirill Kozlov in second (52.32).
Padilla then won his first individual World Cup medal, claiming men’s trampoline bronze with a 60.090. Independent athlete Dmitrii Nartov won gold (61.580) and Matsumoto silver (61.310).
Also making final appearances were Sarah Webster (Valley View, Texas/Trampoline and Tumbling Express) and Maccagnan, who placed sixth in the mixed synchro competition, and Webster and Maia Amano (Honolulu, Hawaii/Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy) who placed sixth in women’s synchro.
