The U.S. delegation came up big in France over the weekend, with Ruben Padilla (Bluffdale, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) and Aliaksei Shostak (Lafayette, La./Trampoline and Tumbling Express) going 1-2 in men’s individual trampoline and Ryan Maccagnan (Colorado Springs, Colo./Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy) securing synchronized trampoline gold with Padilla at the 2025 Antibes World Cup.
Padilla was doubly golden in France, putting up a huge 19.900 difficultly score to claim the individual trampoline title with a total of 62.200 and topping the men’s synchro podium with partner Maccagnan with a 53.580. Shostak followed Padilla in the men’s individual trampoline final, winning silver with a 60.910 to lock two American medals on the apparatus.
The U.S. was represented well in final competition in both the trampoline and tumbling divisions. Padilla was fourth (25.600) in the second round of men’s tumbling finals, while Kaden Brown (Herriman, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) placed eighth (23.000) in the first round. On the women’s side, Ashley Matern (Lindon, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) was fifth in Final 1 with a 24.300.
In women’s synchronized trampoline, the duo of Maia Amano (Honolulu, Hawaii/Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy) and Sarah Webster (Valley View, Texas/Trampoline and Tumbling Express) ranked sixth with a 47.210.
