Rin Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) and junior Anna Filipp (Porter Ranch, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) led American performances at the Aeon Cup over the weekend in Tokyo, earning four medals each including team bronze.
Aided by medal performances from each athlete, the U.S team of Filipp, Keys and Megan Chu (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) won the team bronze medal Saturday with a 319.350, behind Ukraine in first (326.150) and a squad of independent athletes in second (324.100).
Keys turned in another podium performance in senior competition, winning all-around silver with a 112.850 and adding silver medals on clubs (29.050) and ribbon (28.450). Chu took ball silver with a 27.650.
Filipp secured three apparatus medals in junior competition, winning hoop silver (25.400) and bronze medals on ball (25.200) and clubs (26.150).
