American gymnasts won 26 medals in artistic and rhythmic international competition this past weekend.

MAG/WAG Antalya World Cup

Claire Pease (Sunnyvale, Texas/WOGA Gymnastics) led the American charge in Turkey, winning four of the delegation’s six medals including balance beam gold. Initially slated as first reserve for the beam final, Pease was called into action Sunday, posting a 13.266 to claim gold. She also secured three silver medals Saturday, on uneven bars (14.234), floor exercise (13.266) and vault (13.567; 13.767, 13.367), which was won by teammate Jayla Hang (Bellevue, Wash./Pacific Reign Gymnastics) with a 13.667 (13.867, 13.467). Hang also competed in the bars, beam and floor finals where she ranked sixth (12.734), seventh (12.300) and seventh (12.966), respectively.

Taylor Burkhart (Arvada, Colo./Stanford University) won his first career World Cup medal Saturday, notching a 13.934 on floor to take gold. Burkhart also advanced to the horizontal bar and vault finals, just missing the high bar podium after landing fourth with a 13.700 and taking fifth in vault with a 13.850 (14.200, 13.500). The pommel horse duo of Patrick Hoopes (Lehi, Utah/U.S. Air Force Academy) and Brandon Dang (San Jose, Calif./University of Illinois) each made it to the apparatus final where they finished fourth (14.200) and sixth (13.667), respectively.

MAG Grizzly Classic

The U.S. junior men showed out in Canada, returning home with 10 medals from Alberta. The team of Andres Aranda (Pearland, Texas/Houston Gymnastics Academy), Dominick Camarena (Georgetown, Texas/Houston Gymnastics Academy), William McCrea (Chicago, Ill./Lakeshore Academy of Art Gymnastics) and Nixon Miles (Simi Valley, Calif./Gymnastics Olympica) clinched the team title with an overall 218.300, well ahead of second place Canada (215.000) and Mexico third (204.500).

In addition to team gold, McCrea secured four individual medals during his Canadian run, including gold in the all-around (73.100) and floor (13.250), vault silver (13.500) and high bar bronze (12.000). Miles joined McCrea on the all-around podium, winning bronze with a 71.150 and also securing gold on still rings with a 12.350. Miles also won floor bronze with a 12.300. Aranda joined the event gold-winning club with his vault title after scoring 13.550 on the apparatus, and he picked up rings silver with a 11.900.




RG Aphrodite Cup

Junior Natalia de la Rosa (Woodland Hills, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) was the top American performer in Greece, claiming five of nine medals won by the U.S at the 2025 Aphrodite Cup in Athens.

De la Rosa won a gold, a silver and three bronze medals during the competition, securing her gold in the clubs final with a 25.600. Her silver medal came from her performance in the ribbon final where she scored a 23.800, while she earned bronze in the 2010 age group all-around (98.400) and on ball (24.000) and hoop (24.950).

Fellow Americans Josephine Weber (Woodland Hills, Calif./Rhythmic Academy of Los Angeles) and Anna Filipp (Porter Ranch, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) secured all-around silver (92.250) and bronze (91.950) in the 2011 age group.

Dawn Kim (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) and Alicia Liu (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) finished 11th (91.250) and 12th (90.800) in 2010 age group all-around competition.

In group competition, the team of Sasha Kuliyev (Granada hills, Calif.), Nina Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif.), Leyla Kukhmazova (Porter Ranch, Calif.), Alana Hirota (West Hills, Calif.), Ziah Khan (Irvine, Calif.) and Katherine Roytman (Chatsworth, Calif.) from Burlo claimed five clubs bronze with a 20.050. The group landed 11th in the all-around with a 35.350.

Yana Golovan (Las Vegas, Nev./Nevada Rhythmic Academy) won a medal for the seniors, picking up bronze in the clubs final with a 26.300. She also advanced to the ribbon final where she ranked fifth (24.300) and also was eighth (99.300) all-around. Sarah Mariotti (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) was the highest-scoring all-arounder for the U.S., placing seventh with a 100.300, also placing fourth in ribbon with a 24.900.

Ruby Freshwater (Northridge, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics), Isabel Borges (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) and Ksenia Potoski (Brooklyn, N.Y./Isadora by Matchpoint) landed 10th (97.900), 13th (97.500) and 16th (95.800) in the all-around, respectively. Potoski and Freshwater also ranked fourth (24.600) and sixth (21.500) in the ball final.

RG Marbella Grand Prix

Evita Griskenas (Orland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center) claimed a bronze medal from Spain in her return to the international stage.

Griskenas scored a 27.800 in the ribbon final to win bronze behind Italy’s Sofia Raffaeli in first (29.050) and Ukraine’s Taisiia Onofriichuk second (28.100). Griskenas also placed sixth in the all-around (107.750), on hoop (27.900) and on clubs (27.800).

Megan Chu (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) finished 11th in the all-around (104.550) and advanced to the ribbon final where she placed fifth (27.450).
