RESULTS:

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Feb. 18, 2008— Lisa Wang and Marlee Shape, both of Buffalo Grove, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic, won the senior and junior all-around, respectively, at the 2008 Rhythmic Challenge in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Wang posted a score of 64.150, followed by Rachel Marmer of Los Angeles/Hollywood Academy of Gymnastics in second with a 60.025 and Julie Zetlin of Bethesda, Md./Rhythmflex, in third with a 59.725.

Shape won the junior division with a score of 57.350. Tyler Rosemond of Fresh Meadows, N.Y./Big Apple Rhythmic, placed second and Anastasia Torba of Orinda, Calif./Allegro Rhythmic, finished third with scores of 53.300 and 53.025, respectively.

Eighteen gymnasts from seven states participated in the Rhythmic Challenge. The seniors competed in clubs, hoop, ribbon and rope, while the juniors competed in hoop, ribbon, rope and ball.

The Rhythmic Invitational, a competition for Levels 7-10, was held Feb. 14-16 in conjunction with the Rhythmic Challenge.
