ESSEN, Germany (July 25, 2025) – Colt Walker (Austin, Texas/Stanford University) and Kai Uemura (Chicago, Ill./Stanford University) finished sixth and 18th, respectively in men’s all-around competition Friday at the 2025 World University Games in Germany.
Walker scored a 79.399 overall to rank sixth, with Daiki Hashimoto of Japan placing first with an 84.265, Japan’s Shohei Kawakami second (83.398), and William Emard of Canada third (81.732). Uemura was 18th with a score of 74.066.
American teammates Tate Costa (Narragansett, R.I./University of Illinois) and Patrick Hoopes (Lehi, Utah/U.S. Air Force Academy) take on apparatus finals Saturday with Costa on floor exercise at 6:55 a.m. ET and Hoopes on pommel horse at 8:20 a.m. ET.
