2000 Olympian Tasha Schwikert (Las Vegas, Nev.) has withdrawn from the 2001 Visa American Cup. Schwikert continues to upgrade her routines to comply with the requirements of the new FIG Code of Points for this Olympic quadrennium. National Team Member Ashley Kelly (Tulsa, Okla.) will replace her in the line-up.

“We are disappointed that Tasha will not represent the U.S. at American Cup, but we are working very hard so she is ready to compete as soon as possible,”” said Cassie Rice, coach of Tasha Schwikert.

Yann Cucherat (FRA), 2000 Olympian and French National Champion, has also been added to the line-up due to the fact that Kenichi Fujta (JPN) withdrew because of injury.
The 2001 Visa American Cup is this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Orlando’s TD Waterhouse Centre. It will be broadcast live on NBC from 4-6:00 p.m.
