PRETORIA, South Africa, Dec. 4, 2010 – The USA’s Katelyn Ohashi of New Castle, Wash., and McKenzie Wofford of McKinney, Texas, won a total of 10 medals in the junior division of the Bumbo Cup in Pretoria, South Africa – five gold, four silver and one bronze.

The duo, both of whom train at WOGA, finished first and second in the all-around and won all four individual event finals.

Ohashi won the all-around title with a total of 56.425, with Wofford finishing second at 54.925. Wales’ Keira Brennan was third at 50.175. Ohashi’s individual event scores were 13.550, vault; 13.250, uneven bars; 15.250, balance beam; and 14.375, floor exercise. Wofford’s scores were: 13.725, vault; 13.875, uneven bars; 13.550, balance beam; and 13.775, floor exercise.

In the individual event finals, the USA won all four gold medals, along with three silver and one bronze. Wofford took top honors for the uneven bars (14.250) and balance beam (14.525), with Ohashi in second place (bars, 13.875; beam, 14.150). Ohashi was the champion for vault (14.375) and floor exercise (14.500). Wofford claimed the floor silver (13.825) and vault bronze (13.975).

The Bumbo Gymnastics Cup was held at the Joni Bach Sports Centre in Pretoria.
