The U.S. Delegation

PESARO, Italy – Juniors Rebecca Sereda (Staten Island, N.Y./Lido Isadora Sports School) and Jasmine Kerber (Highland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmics) earned seven top ten finishes in the Junior Invitational Tournament, held in conjunction with the 2009 Pesaro World Cup on April 30-May 2 in Pesaro, Italy.

Sereda qualified for the finals in all four events, finishing fourth in rope and ball, fifth in hoop and sixth in clubs. Kerber qualified for the clubs finals, earning a seventh place finish. Sereda and Kerber finished fourth and ninth, respectively, in the all-around.

The USA had three gymnasts and the senior goup national team compete in the World Cup.

Rachel Marmer of Los Angeles, Calif./Eurogymnastics finished 29th in the senior all-around competition. The senior group from North Shore Rhythmics (Stephanie Flaksman, Marlee Shape, Sydney Sachs, Sofya Roytburg, and Megan Frohlich) finished 10th in the group all-around competition.
