TAKASAKI, Japan, Sept. 29, 2018 – The United States is fifth in the team rankings after two of four events in the final round at the 2018 Aeon Cup at Takasaki (Japan) Arena. In the all-around, Evita Griskenas of Orland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, sits in sixth place in rankings after two of four events. Competition wraps up tomorrow with the final two events in the final round.

In the team finals, the USA posted a two-event total of 96.650 for fifth. For the USA, Griskenas and Lennox Hopkins-Wilkins of Puyallup, Wash., together posted a 32.650 for hoop and a 32.700 for ball. Camila Feeley of Highland Park, Ill/North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, earned a 15.750 for clubs and a 15.550 for ribbon. Russia (GAZPROM) is currently in first for the team at 115.800, followed by Israel at 102.650 and Belarus (Dynamo) with 102.400.

Griskenas is the sole American competing in the all-around finals. She scored a 17.600 for hoop and a 17.950 for ball to sit in sixth with a 35.550 total. Russia’s Dina Averina is first at the halfway mark with 40.600. Israel’s Linoy Ashram is second (39.100) and Averina’s twin sister Arina is third (39.050). Russia’s Anastasia Sergeeva sits atop the junior all-around ranking at 36.150.
