INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 1, 2021) – Individuals holding USA Gymnastics professional memberships will now have access to comprehensive health insurance through an innovative new member benefit, with enrollment beginning today, USA Gymnastics (USAG) announced.
A groundbreaking program among national governing bodies, the program enables club owners, coaches, judges and others to access a range of plans for health insurance, major medical, dental and vision benefits through a USAG portal. Coverage begins January 1, 2022 and is available to members and their families. Carriers being offered include Anthem, Cigna, Delta Dental, VSP and Vault.
"A vital component of athlete centricity is ensuring that the people and support systems that are so crucial in developing athletes are well supported themselves," USAG President and CEO Li Li Leung said. "With this health insurance program, we are pleased to be able to provide substantial value to our professional members – especially to small business owners or private contractors who may not otherwise have access to insurance through their employers."
