“We are aware that Dominique Moceanu has filed a lawsuit seeking independence from her parents. The members of the USA Gymnastics staff have known Dominique for a number of years and have had the pleasure of seeing her grow as a gymnast and as a person. This is a matter between Dominique and her parents. Given that, we do not think it is appropriate for us to comment on it. What we can say is that we wish Dominique the best and we hope this situation is resolved in a manner which provides her every chance for happiness.”
