U.S. Team for British Open

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Nov. 29, 2007—USA Gymnastics named the 11-athlete acrobatic gymnastics team that will compete in the British Open Tournament, Dec. 1-2, in Stoke-on-Trent, England. The event features age-group and junior competition.

 

Competing in the junior division is the women’s group of Liselle Kitchens of San Ramon, Calif., Amanda Plumer of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Amy Jo Slater of Danville, Calif., and the men’s pair of Cameron Carlson and Brandon McCallum, both of Livermore, Calif.

 

Three teams will vie in women’s pair in the age-group competition: Valerie Bryant and Cheryl Danielle Hovey, both of Boerne, Texas; DeShay Eisenmenger and Hayley Lemmons, both of Boerne, Texas; and Hannah Douglas of Tracy, Calif., and Kristin Soffia Metzler of Pleasanton, Calif.
