INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., July 31, 2013 – 2012 Olympic all-around bronze-medalist Danell Leyva of Miami/Universal Gymnastics, and 2012 Olympic teammates Jonathan Horton of Houston/Cypress Gymnastics, Jake Dalton of Reno, Nev./University of Oklahoma, and John Orozco of the Bronx, N.Y./U.S. Olympic Training Center, are among the 11 gymnasts who will represent Team Hilton HHonors in 2013. Sponsored by Hilton HHonors, the loyalty program for Hilton Worldwide’s 10 distinct hotel brands, Team Hilton HHonors is a program that provides direct financial support to selected male gymnasts to help offset their training expenses while they pursue their Olympic dreams.

The three 2012 Olympic alternates are also on Team Hilton HHonors: Chris Brooks of Houston/Cypress Academy; Steven Legendre of Norman, Okla./University of Oklahoma; and Alexander Naddour of Gilbert, Ariz./USA Youth Fitness Center. Rounding out the team are: Glen Ishino of Santa Ana, Calif./University of California – Berkeley; Eddie Penev of Penfield, N.Y./Stanford University; Paul Ruggeri of Manlius, N.Y./U.S. Gymnastics Development Center II; and Brandon Wynn of Voorhees, N.J./Ohio State University.

As members of Team Hilton HHonors, the gymnasts wear uniforms bearing the Team Hilton HHonors designation at domestic competitions, as well as make appearances on behalf of HHonors. The creation of Team Hilton HHonors was unveiled in 2011 when Hilton HHonors joined the USA Gymnastics family of corporate partners as the official hotel partner.

“We are proud to continue working with Hilton HHonors on Team Hilton HHonors,” said Steve Penny, president of USA Gymnastics. “With the announcement of this team, Hilton HHonors is granting these athletes not just financial support, but also the resources and encouragement to pursue their potential and athletic aspirations.”

“Through our extended partnership with USA Gymnastics through 2016, Hilton HHonors is pleased to continue supporting U.S. male gymnasts through Team Hilton HHonors,” said Jeff Diskin, executive vice president, commercial services, Hilton Worldwide. “Team Hilton HHonors provides an opportunity to help athletes pursue their Olympic dreams and we are honored to be a part of their exciting journey.”
