PEORIA, Ill., Feb. 3, 2020 – The USA Gymnastics Trampoline and Tumbling Elite Development Camp (EDC) was held this past weekend at Jon Williams Fondulac Flyers in Peoria, Ill. 30 gymnasts participated in the EDC that included training and educational sessions from Jan. 31-Feb. 3.
The camp featured two-a-day training sessions under the direction of the national coordinators. Coach and athlete education was also a key focus of EDP camp, with national coordinators, program staff and athlete mentor Jeffrey Gluckstein leading sessions on selection procedures, program updates, and tips for maximizing performance.
The athletes also took part in fitness testing on the final day. Congratulations to testing winners West Fowler (Gulf Breeze, Fla./Panhandle Perfection Gymnastics) and Lotta Mozes (Gilbert, Ariz./Air Sports Unlimited).
GK Elite supported the event by providing the athletes and coaches with official EDC apparel. Elite Development athletes from across the country and their personal coaches were invited to attend the camp.
