INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Every year, athletes, coaches and those influential to the sport are awarded for their service within each USA Gymnastics discipline. Awardees were recognized in 2025 at the USA Gymnastics Championships in June and the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships in August.

All award winners are listed below by discipline.

Acrobatic
  • Athletes of the Year: Vsevolod and Yaroslav Ossolodkov (Beaumont, Calif./Incentive-AGT). The men’s pair and brothers swept their division’s titles at the 2025 USA Gymnastics Championships in Providence, Rhode Island. Internationally, the duo won three World Cup gold medals throughout the season.
  • Sportsperson of the Year: Olivia Green (Silver Spring, Md.). Green is part of the women’s group from Xtreme Acro with Rebecca Greenberg (North Potomac, Md.) and Caylei Caldwell (Villa Ridge, Mo.) that became the first U.S women’s group to win a medal (silver) at the 2025 The World Games in China. The trio also won all senior women’s group titles at the national championships in Rhode Island.
  • Coach of the Year: Natalya Ossolodkov is the head coach of Incentive – AGT which houses national and World Cup medalists including the Ossolodkovs, Sydney Padios and Willow Noble (Moreno Valley, Calif.), and Katie Borcherding (Eureka, Mo.).
  • Star Service Award: Marie Annonson is a FIG Cat 2 Brevet judge and owner of West Coast Training Center in California. She was recognized for her support of the Acrobatics program has served on various committees throughout her career.
  • Janet VonBargen Award: Trisha LeVeque was chosen due to her outstanding volunteer service and dedication to the Acrobatics Program as a judge. She is a FIG Cat 3 Brevet judge and serves as chair of the Region 5 Technical Committee.
  • Glenn Sundby (Senior) Award: Olivia Green, Rebecca Greenberg and Caylei Caldwell were selected by the meet referee to receive this award for an outstanding overall performance at the 2025 USA Gymnastics Championships in the senior division.
  • Glenn Sundby (13-19) Award: Neko Sullivan (Perris, Calif./Incentive-AGT) and Radomir Ossolodkov (Beaumont, Calif./Incentive-AGT) received this award for their outstanding overall performance at the 2025 USA Gymnastics Championships in the 13-19 division.
Men’s Artistic
  • Athlete of the Year: Stephen Nedoroscik (Worcester, Mass./EVO Gymnastics). Part of the historic men’s team who claimed team bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and also securing an individual pommel horse bronze medal, Nedoroscik was named the 2025 athlete of the year. Nedoroscik was featured on the 33rd season of Dancing with the Stars and returned to training just three months before this year’s Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships.
  • Sportsperson of the Year: Frederick Richard (Stoughton, Mass./University of Michigan). Voted on by his peers, Richard received this award to conclude his 2025 season in which he was the NCAA team and all-around champion and the Winter Cup and U.S. all-around silver medalist.
  • Coach of the Year: Xiao Yuan of the University of Michigan. Yuan was head coach of the Michigan team that won the 2025 NCAA Men’s Gymnastics Championship that featured Richard, 2024 Olympic medalist Paul Juda and current National Team member Crew Bold.
  • Men’s Development Program Coach of the Year: Nori Iwai of Texas Dreams. Iwai is the coach and father of 2025 U.S. floor exercise bronze medalist Jun Iwai and recently had four men’s athletes compete for Texas Dreams at the 2025 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships.
  • Frank J. Cumiskey Service Award: Michael Serra. This award honors individuals for their contributions to the USA Gymnastics Junior Men’s Programs. Serra has been part of the gymnastics community for many years as an athlete, coach and contributor. He current sits as the Men’s Program Committee Chair and has held many roles within the program as a staff member and representative.
Rhythmic
  • Athlete of the Year: Rin Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics). The first U.S. gymnast to medal at the FIG Rhythmic World Championships in both the junior and senior divisions, Keys has been successful internationally and domestically this season. She repeated as the U.S. senior all-around champion and won all apparatus at the 2025 USA Gymnastics Championships and won 11 medals in competition abroad, including a historic ball silver medal at the 2025 World Championships in Brazil.
  • Sportsperson of the Year: Yana Golovan (Las Vegas, Nev./Nevada Rhythmic Academy) was selected by her peers to receive this award. In 2025, Golovan claimed a bronze medal on clubs at the Aphrodite Cup in Greece and a bronze on ribbon at the Schmiden International Tournament in Germany.
  • Coach of the Year: Jenya Tkachenko of Burlo Gymnastics was named coach of the year after sharing the honor with Natalia Klimouk in 2023. Tkachenko is the coach of both Keys and Natalie de la Rosa, who each claimed World Championship medals in junior and senior competition this season.
  • Star Service Award: Dr. Cynthia LaBella was awarded this honor due to her years of service with the rhythmic program providing athlete and staff support around injury prevention, education and recovery, and expert advice on return to play.
Trampoline & Tumbling
  • Athletes of the Year: Ruben Padilla (Bluffdale, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) was named as the recipient for double mini, Aliaksei Shostak (Lafayette, La./Trampoline and Tumbling Express) for trampoline, and Nastia Katchalova (Lakeland, Fla./Elite World Gymnastics) for tumbling. This season, Padilla was the 2025 FIG World Cup Series double mini champion and U.S. mixed synchro champion; Shostak the 2025 U.S. trampoline & synchro silver medalist; and Katchalova the 2025 U.S. tumbling silver medalist.
  • Sportsperson of the Year: Kennedi Roberts (North Richland Hills, Texas/Southlake Gymnastics Academy). Roberts was the 2025 U.S. double mini champion at the USA Gymnastics Championships and won trampoline gold at the 2025 Junior Pan American Games in Paraguay.
  • Coach of the Year: Dmitri Poliaroush (TRA), Becky Walker (TUM) and Sven Nielsen (DMT). Repeating as coaches of the year for the third consecutive season, Poliaroush continues to coach at Trampoline and Tumbling Express in Louisiana, with Walker at Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling in Utah. Nielsen, who coaches alongside Walker at Wasatch, receives his second award since 2023.
  • Star Service Award: Alex Renkert was selected for this award due to his work ensuring athlete voices are heard within the organization in policy, governance, and athlete safety initiatives. Renkert currently serves as the USA Gymnastics Athletes’ Council chair and, as an athlete, was an eight-time World medalist and 12-time U.S. medalist.
Women’s Artistic
  • Athlete of the Year: Jayla Hang (Bellevue, Wash./Pacific Reign Gymnastics) was named the 2025 athlete of the year after strong performances internationally and domestically this season. She was a four-time World Cup medalist; the 2025 World Cup Series floor exercise champion; a six-time Senior Pan American Championships medalist; the 2025 Winter Cup all-around, vault & floor exercise silver medalist; and the 2025 U.S. balance beam bronze medalist.
  • Sportsperson of the Year: Nola Matthews (Gilroy, Calif./Airborne Gymnastics Training Center) was voted on by her peers to receive this award for the third-consecutive season. She was most recently the 2025 Winter Cup floor exercise champion and won gold on uneven bars and floor exercise at the 2025 Varna World Challenge Cup in Bulgaria.
  • Coach of the Year: Cale Robinson of Pacific Reign Gymnastics. Robinson is the coach of Hang and Simone Rose, who was the 2025 Winter Cup all-around & uneven bars bronze medalist and won gold medals at the 2025 DTB Mixed Cup in Germany and the City of Jesolo Trophy in Italy this season.
  • Star Service Award: Linda Johnson. A key contributor in creating and distributing national surveys to the gymnastics community, the Women’s program selected Johnson for this award in recognition of her service on both the national and regional levels.
  • Connie Maloney Dedication to Sport Award: Kathy Ostberg was chosen by the Women’s program for her service and dedication to Region 6 and national initiatives.
  • Women’s Development Program Club of the Year: AIM Athletics Texans Gymnastics in The Woodlands, Texas. The award winner is selected by the Women’s Development Program Committee out of regional nominations for a program that demonstrates excellence, good sportsmanship, team spirit and ethics and contributes to regional efforts.
  • Women’s Xcel Program Club of the Year: Metzler’s Gymnastic Center in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. This inaugural award recognizes a club that exemplifies the Xcel program’s core values: sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork, and fun.
