INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (November 22, 2024) – USA Gymnastics announced new leadership, and three new athletes selected as representatives to the USA Gymnastics Athletes’ Council and Team USA Athletes’ Commission on Friday. Athletes were selected to their positions through elections held within the elite athlete ranks.

USA Gymnastics Athletes’ Council

Alex Renkert (Trampoline & Tumbling) and Evita Griskenas (Rhythmic) were elected to new leadership roles within the USA Gymnastics Athletes’ Council (AC) in November.

Eight-time World medalist Renkert was voted as the new AC chair after serving as vice chair since 2022 under former chair Jessica Renteria (Acrobatic). He assumes his new role immediately and will hold the position until his term ends in 2025.

Replacing Renkert as vice chair will be Griskenas. The two-time Olympian began her Athletes’ Council stint as a rhythmic representative in 2022 and will end in 2025.

Cameron Bock (Men’s Artistic) was elected to fill the vacant, second men’s artistic representative spot on the council. The 2024 U.S. high bar bronze medalist and 2023 Pan American Games team champion will act as rep through 2027.

With Renteria stepping down as the acrobatic representative on the council, World medalist and USA Gymnastics Hall of Famer Kiley Boynton (Acrobatic) was selected to serve in her role until the term ends in 2025.

Members of the Athletes’ Council serve as representatives of gymnasts around the country, advocating for and communicating with USA Gymnastics on their behalf.

Team USA Athletes’ Commission

The Team USA Athletes’ Commission, formerly the USOPC Athletes’ Advisory Council (“AAC”), serves as the bridge between Team USA athletes and the USOPC. Logan Dooley (Trampoline & Tumbling) was elected as the gymnastics representative, with Margzetta Frazier (Women’s Artistic) as alternate.

The alternate from 2021-2024, Dooley will take over as gymnastics representative in January after Serena Lu‘s (Rhythmic) term ends next month. As the Team USA Athletes’ Commission rep, Dooley will retain his seat on the USA Gymnastics Board of Directors and Athletes’ Council during his term, which runs through 2028.

Frazier was selected as the alternate to Dooley and also will serve for four years starting in January. She is a past Senior National Team member and a four-time All American in her collegiate career. With this appointment, Frazier also will sit on the USA Gymnastics Board of Directors and Athletes’ Council.
