INDIANAPOLIS, July 3, 2021 – USA Gymnastics today announced that 2016 Olympian Nicole Ahsinger of Lafayette, La./Trampoline & Tumbling Express and World silver medalist Aliaksei Shostak of Lafayette, La./Trampoline & Tumbling Express will represent Team USA in Tokyo in the women’s and men’s trampoline competitions, respectively.

Shostak secured his position by name based on the results of the 2019 World Championships, where he placed ninth in the individual men’s trampoline standings. Ahsinger claimed her spot as USA’s sole female trampolinist following her performances across three qualification events, which culminated with last week’s USA Gymnastics Championships. Ahsinger’s commanding performances at the USA Gymnastics Championships and the Brescia (Italy) World Cup – where she secured the quota place for the U.S. – landed her atop the field with a combined best-two-of-three score of 204.025.

Charlotte Drury of Laguna Niguel, Calif./World Elite Gymnastics claimed one of two replacement athlete spots, with a combined score of 196.630 from the three qualification events. Following the outcome of an arbitration hearing hearing on Friday, Sarah Webster of Lafayette, La./Trampoline & Tumbling Express has been added to the U.S. replacement athlete roster. Webster’s combined score of 197.660 has secured her the first replacement athlete position.
