INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., March 3, 2008 – 2007 all-around world champion Shawn Johnson of West Des Moines, Iowa, and two of her teammates from the team that won the 2007 world team title: Samantha Peszek of Indianapolis, Ind., and Bridget Sloan of Pittsboro, Ind., are among the gymnasts who will compete in the USA-Canada-Italy-Netherlands Friendly Competition on March 8 in Jesolo, Italy. 2006 all-around world silver-medalist Jana Bieger of Coconut Creek, Fla., is also on the team. The United States is sending a team of both junior and senior gymnasts.
