INDIANAPOLIS, August 25, 2021 – USA Gymnastics today announced the 2022 USAG Women’s Artistic Development Program Level 9 Eastern and Western Championships will take place May 5-8, 2022. The Eastern Championships, hosted by Rochester Gymnastics Academy, will be held at the Golisano Training Center in Rochester, N.Y., while the Western Championships will be hosted by GymQuarters Gymnastics at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo.

Both events feature 16 age divisions and serve as the culmination of the competitive season for the top Women’s Development Program Level 9 gymnasts in the country.

Gymnasts from Regions 1-4 will compete at the Western Championships:

  • Region 1: Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah
  • Region 2: Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington
  • Region 3: Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming
  • Region 4: Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin

Gymnasts from Regions 5-8 will compete at the Eastern Championships:

  • Region 5: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio
  • Region 6: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont
  • Region 7: Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia
  • Region 8: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee
