OKOTOKS, Canada, July 30, 2009 – Eighteen U.S. athletes travelled to Okotoks, Alberta, Canada this week to participate in the 2009 Canada Cup and the first USA vs. Canada team competition, the Can-Am Cup. In men’s senior trampoline, Logan Dooley of Lake Forest, Calif./World Elite Gymnastics, and Steven Gluckstein of Atlantic Highlands, N.J./Ultra Twisters, finished third and fourth, with scores of 109.40 and 108.60, respectively. The duo also teamed up in synchronized trampoline to finish in second place (134.10). Tony Doles of Lubbock, Texas/Upsidedowners, placed third (139.60) in men’s senior double mini.

In trampoline senior women, Hayley Butcher of St. John, Ind., finished fifth with a score of 89.50. Sarah Prosen of Apple Valley, Minn./Gypsy Flyers, finished second (133.10) in senior women’s double mini.

Savannah Vinsant of Lafayette, La./T&T, Express finished in second place with a 98.90 in junior trampoline action. She teamed up with Dakota Earnest of Plains, Texas/Acrospirits to place first in synchronized trampoline (115.80). Jeffrey Gluckstein of Atlantic Highlands, N.J./Ultra Twisters, and Hunter Brewster of Lafayette, La./T&T Express, finished second (103.20) and fourth (98.30) in the men’s final. Kiara Nowlin of Oxnard, Calif./Waller’s GymJam Academy, finished first (133.70) in women’s junior double mini and first in tumbling (125.50). Tristan Van Natta of McCordsville, Ind./Flipside finished second in double mini with a score of 129.60. Alex Renkert of Indianapolis, Ind./ Interactive Academy, finished third (138.50) in double mini and first (128.10) in tumbling, with K.J. Heger of Rockford, Ill./Gymnastic Academy of Rockford, finishing fourth (136.70) in double mini.
