Employment Opportunity – Partnership and Event Marketing Manager

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Partnerships and Event Marketing Manager supports commercial activities – including corporate partnerships, event marketing, broadcast and content opportunities, and merchandise – to drive revenue and positive partner ROI. The manager reports to the VP of Partnerships and Marketing.

CORPORATE PARTNERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cultivate positive partner relationships
  • Lead ongoing partner and agency communications
  • Manage partner fulfillment of contractual rights and benefits, including trafficking media for broadcasts, print/web ads, logo integration, event signage, event tickets, in venue activation, hospitality, and digital fulfillment
  • Collaborate on campaign content creation (e.g., digital, social, video)
  • Develop and implement mutually beneficial activations, initiatives and campaigns
  • Track and share campaign results
  • Work closely with event team to deliver partner assets including PA reads, videos, signage plan and in-venue activations
  • Create post-event recaps for partners and log event data for historical purposes
  • Manage video licensing program
  • Stay informed on brand marketing and sports sponsorship trends

EVENT MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with premier event LOCs and venues to craft and execute integrated marketing plans to drive public and gym club ticket sales
  • Collaborate with USA Gymnastics Communications, Events, Membership and Program to ensure successful events
  • Assist with athlete appearances including the planning and implementation of advance PR trips and appearances at gymnastics clubs
  • Manage the USA Gymnastics comp and paid ticket allotment for each event
  • Lead the creation of fan fest (FlipZone) at key events
  • Support e-commerce and on-site merchandise sales

Requirements and Competencies

  • Strong communication, organizational, decision-making skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to pro-actively problem solve and to maintain a positive “can do” attitude
  • Self-starter who will take initiative with new projects
  • Desire to drive new business for the organization while delivering results and creating value for fans, members and partners
  • Ability to establish new relationships and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of owned, earned and paid marketing tactics
  • Cultural and global awareness

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; Marketing, Sports Management or related preferred
  • Minimum 2+ years of event marketing or corporate partnership management
  • Sports marketing or partnership activation experience preferred

Other Information

  • Position is based in Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Salary and benefits commensurate with experience
  • Weekend work and some travel will be required
  • Other duties/projects as assigned
