Beginning June 1, 2027, the CPE recording year will permanently run from June 1 through May 31.
This change ensures that all CPE reports can be finalized before the start of the summer educational season, including Congress events and clinics. It also allows individuals to complete their CPE requirements before assigning begins for the upcoming season, which now starts in June in many States.
Currently, all CPE is due by May 31 each year. However, summer Congresses and clinics may be used either to complete the previous year’s CPE requirements or to begin earning credits for the next year. Moving forward, all CPE requirements must be completed by May 31, 2027, and by May 31 each year thereafter.
We are sharing this information now so you can plan ahead and take full advantage of the educational opportunities available during the summer of 2026 to ensure your CPE requirements are completed on time.
There will be no changes to the June 1, 2026 – May 31, 2027 CPE collection period.
