UC Berkeley will retain women’s gymnastics

Earlier today, the University of California, Berkeley announced its decision to reinstate women’s gymnastics, along with women’s lacrosse and men’s rugby. Unfortunately, they decided not to reinstate men’s gymnastics or baseball.

The gymnastics family’s effort to help both programs has been inspiring. The USA Gymnastics community quickly stepped up ever since hearing that men’s gymnastics was in jeopardy. We want to thank all of you for your support and cooperation during this time, and congratulate the women’s program for being reinstated.
