GUIMARAES, Portugal (September 21, 2024) – The U.S. kicked off final competition strong, earning silver and bronze medals Saturday on the third day of the 2024 Acro World Championships in Guimaraes.

Winning silver was the American trio of Mariam Tutberidze (Owings Mills, Md./Emilia’s Acro Gymnastics and Cheer), Grace Vonder Haar (Laurel, Md./Emilia’s Acro Gymnastics and Cheer) and Kayla Vonder Haar (Laurel, Md./Emilia’s Acro Gymnastics and Cheer). The women’s group posted a 28.190 in the dynamic final to land just behind the Belgian group of Lauren Verbrugghe, Sofie Jaeken and Mirte Vercauteren, who won with a 28.290. China (Yixing Ma, Quanjia Gu and Wenyan Ding) was third with a 27.510.

Mo Arthur (Rolla, Mo./Mid America Acro Tumbling) and Ariana Katsov (Owensville, Mo./Mid America Acro Tumbling) secured bronze in the women’s pair dynamic final on Saturday, scoring a 27.360 to finish behind Silke Macharis and Maysae Bouhouch of Belgium in first (27.570) and Maya Velner and Rony Cohen of Israel in second (27.460).

Arthur and Katsov also competed in the women’s pair combined final, where they landed just off the podium in fourth with a 27.480. Macharis and Bouhouch won the combined title with a 28.650.

Competition concludes Sunday with all remaining finals beginning at 6 a.m. ET. Final action will continue to stream on Peacock, and all information on the Acro World Championships can be found on the FIG event website.
