STUTTGART, Germany, Oct. 8, 2019 – The U.S. women won their fifth consecutive team title, and seventh overall, at the 2019 World Championships in Stuttgart, Germany. The USA amassed a total score of 172.330, with margin of victory of nearly six points. The U.S. men will compete in the men’s team final tomorrow at 1:45 p.m. local time. U.S.-based fans can watch the finals live at 7:45 a.m. ET on the Olympic Channel and online with a delayed broadcast on NBCSN at 3 p.m. ET.

This year’s title ties the USA with Romania with five consecutive and seven overall team titles. The U.S. Team event scores were: vault, 45.166; uneven bars, 42.299; balance beam, 40.966; and floor exercise, 43.899. Team USA had the top scores for vault, beam and floor. Russia was second at 166.529, and Italy edged out China for third, 164.796 to 164.230. France was fifth (163.628), followed by Canada (160.563) and the Netherlands (159.427).

The five women on the U.S. Team are: Simone Biles of Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre; Jade Carey of Phoenix, Ariz./Arizona Sunrays, Biles; Kara Eaker of Grain Valley, Mo./Great American Gymnastics Express; Sunisa Lee of St. Paul, Minn./Midwest Gymnastics Center; and Grace McCallum of Isanti, Minn./Twin City Twisters. MyKayla Skinner of Gilbert, Ariz./Desert Lights Gymnastics, is the alternate.
