The U.S. women’s gymnastics team finished the team finals in fourth place Tuesday evening, while Romania claimed the team gold medal scoring 154.608 points.

Russia was second with 154.403 points, China third with 154.008. The U.S. totaled 152.933 points, Spain, 152.113 and Ukraine, 151.846 for a sixth place finish.

Amy Chow
finished in 16th overall and Elise Ray was 17th. Chow’s top marks came on bars (9.750) and floor (9.625) and Ray earned a 9.725 on bars and a 9.418 on vault.

Tasha Schwikert
led off on bars (9.675), and floor (9.60). She also performed on beam, scoring a 9.350.

Jamie Dantzscher
scored a 9.712 on floor, a 9.70 on bars. She also competed on vault, scoring a 9.424.

Kristen Maloney
turned in the team’s highest floor mark, a 9.737. Maloney also scored 9.537 on beam and a 9.493 on vault. Dominique Dawes best mark of the evening was a 9.70 on bars. Dawes recorded a 9.475 on beam and a 9.243 on vault.
The U.S. team finished second on bars, third on floor, fifth on vault and sixth on beam.

Andrea Raducan (ROM) was the night’s overall top finisher, Yun Yang (CHN) was second and Maria Olaru (ROM) was third.
